N. Scott Johnson started his career in the Courtroom. Scott was a bailiff in the Tulsa County Courthouse. Each day he watched how attorneys worked with clients, handled themselves before Judges, and presented evidence. His last assignment as a bailiff came while he was going to Law School. He was working with the Family Division’s Chief Judge, the Honorable Deborah Shallcross. Scott knew he wanted to practice Family Law, where he could make a difference, while attending the University of Tulsa, College of Law. He earned the top grade in the Family Law class.
Scott carefully selected a law firm after graduation that would let him learn and practice Family Law. He handled complex cases – including business valuations. This allowed him use his degree in accounting from Oklahoma State University. He generated his own clients from contacts at the Courthouse and quickly developed a reputation for providing excellent service to his clients. Scott made partner in three (3) years. Scott’s been a Partner practicing Family Law ever since. In 2007, he formed N. Scott Johnson & Associates. Scott has practiced exclusively Family Law for more than twenty-four years.
Scott’s been recognized as an outstanding lawyer in Family Law for the last eight years by SuperLawyers. He’s a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and Tulsa County Bar Association.
